This is what Gape and Laone have to say about the "eastern" restaurant. Make sure to share your own thoughts and opinions in the comments section down below.

I would say the place is a bit far from main areas. It gives more of "Botswana" and not the eastern it is supposed to give especially since it is used as the student bar. The fact that it is called an eastern restaurant feels like a lie; I feel decieved because I expected something better. Interesting is the word I would use to describe the eastern restaurant. I've had a few dishes from there and I cannot say I enjoyed them.

The first thing I had is the chicken noodle stirfry. I was not in any way impressed. The cabbage overpowered the whole thing and it was dry and salty. The steamed bun filling is also not great. I will admit that I am biased and maybe I don't understand eastern flavours however I don't think that defense will hold up when it comes to their normal lunch plates which also fall below average.

I tried their steamed buns and they were just okay to be honest. The chilli oil was spicy, whis is good- I wish I had tried them with a more tangy dip though. I would try them again.

The Final Score

Overall, we would give it a 2/10.
